JVW Retail (“we”, “our”, or “us”) develops and operates the SnapDash mobile application (“SnapDash” or “the App”). This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your information when you use the App.
By using SnapDash, you confirm that you are legally authorized to drive in your jurisdiction and that you accept the practices outlined below. If you do not agree with this policy, please refrain from using the App.
1.1 Zero Tracking & Analytics
No Analytics or Crash Logs: SnapDash contains no analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting software (such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics).
We do not collect, monitor, or store technical data, device identifiers, or app usage patterns.
1.2 Location Data
SnapDash uses your device’s GPS locally to deliver core features, such as real-time speed display and screen overlays.
Local Processing Only: GPS data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to us or any third parties.
We do not track, collect, or store precise driving routes or personal location history.
1.3 Video Recordings
SnapDash uses your device’s camera to capture driving footage.
Local Storage: All video recordings are stored exclusively on your local device.
We do not access, upload, view, or share your recordings.
You retain full, independent control to keep, share, or delete your recordings at any time.
1.4 No Advertisements
SnapDash is an ad-free application. We do not use Google AdMob or any other advertising networks, and no data is collected for advertising purposes.
SnapDash requires the following Android permissions strictly for core functionality:
Camera: Required to record video footage.
Storage: Required to save recordings locally to your device.
Location (GPS): Required to display speed and video overlays locally.
Foreground Service / Notifications: Required to maintain uninterrupted recording in compliance with Android operating system standards.
Permissions are used exclusively for the functions described above.
Because SnapDash processes everything locally on your device, we do not collect, store, or process personal user data on external servers.
Core functionality (dash cam recording with speed/location overlays) occurs entirely on your device.
We strictly do not:
Collect personal identifiers (such as your name, email address, or contacts).
Track app usage or user behavior.
Sell, trade, or rent data.
SnapDash integrates no third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising SDKs.
Deletion: You can delete your video recordings and stored data directly via your device or app controls at any time.
Location Management: You may disable GPS permissions within your device settings (note: this will limit app features like speed tracking and overlays).
App Uninstallation: Removing SnapDash immediately removes all local data associated with the App from your device.
SnapDash is not directed to children under the age of 13.
The App is intended solely for individuals who are legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle in their respective country.
Because video recordings and GPS overlay data remain secured locally on your device under your complete ownership—and no data is transmitted to external servers—your information stays entirely under your control.
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
